Weekly Progress Report: 2011-10-30

Look! Dinosaurs!

Hola senoritas! Quick update this week, I’ve been busy.

Challenge #6: Straddle Press to Handstand

Today’s video features the progress on my Elbow Planche:

For the first time I feel secure and steady enough in my position to actually start counting down the time held on it. While it’s note completely straight for the total amount of time, it’s close enough, and refinements will happen over time. I’m very happy about where I am, compared to my beginnings on this balance.

I’m also getting better on the kick-ups, tuck planche and core work. So far, my maximum Tuck Planche hold is of 3 seconds, which is at least 6 times better than the half-a-second maximum hold I started off with.

Challenge #16: The Posting Contest

Piers got quite excited this week, with 3 blog posts in 4 days. Not too shabby, brother. You almost got me worried here… I was wondering who was taking care of your precious daughter while you were leaving her all alone for the mere sake of trying to beat me… heheh.

I’ll admit that this one is funny… and cute, even.

Oh and, in case you’ve lost the count, we’re even counting this one. :)

I don’t know what’s happened to my guest post, however. I do understand that the directing mind which its appearance depends on has many other things to attend to these days, so I’m not holding him to it. A friendly status enquiry shall do the trick.

While I was away for a quick trip in Switzerland this week (you don’t need to remind me how lucky I am, but you can if you want), my girlfriend celebrated Halloween disguised as Jane Fonda. I’m… not sure yet if I’m any anxious to see the pics. There is a possibility that I might share one here. Should I?
